blue
*** Blue is in foster placement in the UK - more news when she is ready for adoption ***
This beautiful girl is Blue, dob 01/01/2017, she was rescued from a pound in the North of Spain and is now waiting for a home.
Blue is a playful and friendly doggie, she likes other dogs, especially her kennel colleagues Rayo & Frida. However she wants to eat alone as she doesn’t like other furry friends to mess with her food.
Blue is full of energy, she likes running, walks, being involved in activities, she likes people and having human attention. She’s not very good on the lead but she’s working on that and she’s a fast learner.
As you can see she loves a belly rub!!!
Blue is in Spain and we arrange everything for her to travel to UK once an adoption appears.

boris (was bolo)
Boris is in foster in Essex.
Boris is a 3.5 year old coonhound & he weighs approximately 27kgs.
This is what his foster mum has to say:
He’s doing great on his walks, road and field but he is strong on the lead. Boris has been clean indoors, loves playing with the ball in the garden and running around. He has warmed up to me and he’s very loving and gentle, he will take a bit more time with men.
Sleeps well all night in his crate and he is fed in his crate and sits and waits for it.
I feel he would do well in a family with older children, once he is used to them will need time and patience to come around.

freddie (was foco)
Freddie is in foster in Hampshire.
Freddie is 3 years old (DOB 8/11/21). Freddie was given up as a show dog in Spain. He was very nervous and shutdown but has turned into an amazing lovely boy.
From his foster:
Freddie came to us on a foster basis on the 14th Dec 2024. He arrived so very scared of everything I don’t think he had ever been in a house at all. The TV, hoover washing machine and everything else that made a noise sent him into an absolute panic. He wanted to pee on every item in the house. Saying that, he is 100% a different dog today. He is absolute sweetie and such a gentle soul. He is now house trained and sticks his head through the cat flat when he needs to have a pee with a biscuit reward every time. He is very confident on our dog walks and loves all other dogs with no sign of aggression at all. With all the people I walk with on a regular basis he welcomes them with a waggy tail and goes up to greet them. He is still wary of new people but inquisitive rather than scared and as he is so food driven a tasty snack always helps with lots of reassurance. We have an older very stable dog who does not play but I think Freddie would love a younger playmate as he loves playing with his toys. He is not possessive about his toys but is fed separately on a slow feeder from my dog and treats are given separately as mine is a very slow eater who savours every mouthful whereas Freddie likes gets it down as quickly as possible. He is lovely in the house and loves routine. He goes into his crate about 8.30pm in the evening and I get him up about 6.30am and is very happy in there with all his soft babies to keep him company. He does not whine or bark at all. He is happy to be left in the house for a while during the day I leave the TV on for them. I do pop him in the crate so he does not have free range of the house in my absence again with a biscuit he happily goes in there. He walks on a Halti and 90% of the time walks really well at my side but them gets a scent and is on a pull. He is getting very strong as putting on weight so well so needs a strong arm. He has such a cheeky side to him and every morning steals my slippers off my feet as I have my morning cup of tea and when he is being ignored he will remind you he is there with a gentle paw on the knee or just to lean into you. His confidence is growing every day, at the beginning I could not get him into the coffee shop at all as so scared but now comes in happily and sits under the table observing people . He still has a long way to go with his confidence but with love and attention I am sure this will just continue to get better. It has been an absolute joy to be part of Freddies journey and thank you for allowing me to help get him his forever home.
So we are looking for a home where someone is around for him most of the time to help him adapt to a new home. Another dog is a must and a playful dog would be lovely for him. He can live with cats too.

lenda
Lenda is in UK foster in the West Midlands and she arrived in the UK in November 2024.
Lenda is 7 years old (DOB 14 June 2017). Lenda is blind but she is a very brave, happy girl. Lenda was found in a dreadful state, so thin and emaciated. She was soon gaining weight in Spain once she received regular food.
This is from her foster mum:
Lenda is a confident, lively dog who likes to explore even if she can't see! She had our house and garden mapped out within a few days and rarely bumps into things unless we close doors. She does know if we say careful it means to slow down a bit. I can honestly say 95% of the time now I forget she's blind. She enjoys walks and doesn't really pull on lead. Adores her cuddly toys and will have a chew and play with them but hasn't damaged one yet! She is a huge character who likes to be where you are in the day so she can hear what's going on. She is sleeping alone downstairs with a special cuddly toy that comes out at night and classic FM on very low. She did struggle to start with the night-time routine at the start but seems to be in a good routine now and is ok for 8/9 hours. On walks she will happily say hello to people and dogs but isn't keen on excitable dogs circling her and will give a sharp bark to tell them to back off which is totally understandable. For that reason we feel if someone was interested who had another dog a calm dog would probably be best, although we suspect she has had pups so she may be ok with a younger submissive dog. Shes very affectionate and will make you laugh and is in no way held back by her lack of sight.
She loves spending time in the garden stalking birds, the resident ones have clocked her now and are always one step ahead. It's quite comical watching her zooming around while the birds go and sit on a higher perch to watch her.
She can be mouthy when she gets excited especially first thing in the morning when she's so excited you're downstairs and food is imminent. She doesn't really put pressure on but it's a work in progress to redirect it. She's probably having her delayed puppyhood.
Lenda can live with another dog but she really likes human attention. She would need a home with someone around a lot to settle her in and give her the attention she truly deserves.

rufa
Rufa is currently in foster in Nottinghamshire.
This beautiful girl is Rufa. She is estimated to be 5 years old. She is being rehomed due to a change in circumstances and through no fault of her own.
Rufa is a lovely playful girl who loves a Teddy, she loves other dogs, children and people. She doesn't know how to play fetch with a ball but will fetch a teddy.
Rufa loves a cuddle but also loves her own space. She has some recall but only ever in an enclosed field because she will run if she fancies it.
She can sit, lie down and give her paw and although not possessive with food with people will give a warning to another dog.
It is not known if Rufa is friendly with cats. She will need a secure garden and will have no fear going out of an open door if she sees an opportunity.

miko
Miko is available for adoption & he is 8 years old.
He has been in the UK for 5 years. He can live with other dogs but he can be a bit barky to start with until he knows the dog. Miko cannot live with cats or small furries. It is also advised that he does not live with small children either. He does bark at people and a busy home is not ideal for him.
Miko is a nervous boy and needs plenty of time and patience to help him. He knows commands and is affectionate. He is not good on walks because he barks a lot at cyclists, motorbikes and will go "nuts" at other dogs but he is fine in private secure fields with dogs he knows & in the garden. Walks in busy places with traffic noise does not suit Miko at all.
He is in good health but does need wheat/grain free food or he gets an itchy red nose, itchy paws and ears. If this happens he needs anti histamines for a few days until it clears up.
